Lance Bellamy
Stradivarius ModelThis is an instrument that I recently completed. It is modeled on the instruments
of Antonio Stradivari.
The top is made from thoroughly seasoned, finely grained, 30 year old Alaskan
sitka spruce. The two piece back is made from strikingly flamed European maple cut in the early 1980's.
The fingerboard is made of solid ebony and the pegs, tailpiece and chinrest are fashioned from dark brown rosewood.
The finish is a warm, red brown oil varnish. The violin is skillfully
shaded and subtly distressed to give the appearance of age.
