Signature SeriesAs the owner of a violin shop I have the opportunity to attend musical instrument trade shows that are held in the US and overseas. My goal is to find the very best instruments in in any given price range. I am always looking for new sources of quality violins, violas and cellos at reasonable prices. Recently I attended a trade show where I met makers from Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium, France, Italy, India and China. I played instruments from large and small shops looking for instruments that would be a real value for intermediate to advanced players. I call the instruments selected for this purpose the "Signature Series".
These instruments arrive at my shop unsetup without strings, bridges, pegs, or soundposts. I spend several
hours setting up each instrument to meet exacting standards. Once I am satisfied with the
sound and playability of the instrument I place the signature Bellamy Violins shop label in the instrument indicating
it is ready for the discerning player. |
