Salvatore CallegariIn the shop of M. Hehongda, some of the most interesting violins made in China today, are
being carefully crafted. In addition to the traditional Stradivari and Guarneri styles,
Mr. Hehongda and his staff of internationally trained luthiers are producing exceptional
instruments modeled on the works of Amati and Guadagnini. These violins are beautifully
varnished in a manner that is nearly indistinguishable from the classic Italian instruments on which they are based. Click here to view a video showing high-resolution photos of one of these instruments. |
