In the shop of M. Hehongda, some of the most interesting violins made in China today, are being carefully crafted. In addition to the traditional Stradivari and Guarneri styles, Mr. Hehongda and his staff of internationally trained luthiers are producing exceptional instruments modeled on the works of Amati and Guadagnini. These violins are beautifully varnished in a manner that is nearly indistinguishable from the classic Italian instruments on which they are based.

The tone of these violins will delight the ear of the most discerning player. A rich deep G string compliments a brilliant and singing E string. The A and D strings evenly complete the arc of a full and powerful tone.

These instruments are sold under the trademarked name of Salvatore Callegari and range in price from $1600 to $3000.
